Marceil Powell Massey, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the age of 87. Her visitation will be Sunday, January 20, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brett Pitman officiating. Marceil will be buried in Glendale Cemetery with her nephews serving as pallbearers.
She was a native of Tuscumbia and retired after 32 years from South Central Bell. She was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church.
Marceil was preceded in death by her husband, R. Ray Massey.
Survivors include her brothers, Dr. James O. Powell of Mountain Brook, Alabama, Franklin B. Powell of Beth Paige, Tennessee and Aubrey G. Powell of Roopville, Georgia; sisters, Mary Morgan and Faye Wyatt, both of Tuscumbia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
