Our beautiful Mother and Nana , Billie Faye Wells, 90, of Florence, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018 after a brief illness. Mother lived her life in love and faith. She loved every one she met and those who knew her adored her. She was a lady of quiet grace. Her life was lived to serve her family and she did it well. One of her favorite sayings was “All I ever wanted was to be a mother and grandmother. We are so thankful for the legacy she leaves behind.
Visitation will be Friday, January 4, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. At Mother’s request, a private graveside service will follow. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Wells was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Wells; son, Jon D. Wells; parents, William and Iva Braudaway; and great-grandchild, Matthew Colin Lowery.
She is survived by her daughters, Shannon Wells, and Paula Beasley (Jimmy); grandchildren, Zane Brown, Eve Brown Styles, Seth Brown, Tyler Hannon, Sky Hannon, Jennifer Lowery (Corey), Jessica Beasley Merryman, Jon Wells (Lisa), and Tracy Wells (Lynn); great-grandchildren, Sydney Styles, Logan Lowery, Presleigh Lowery, Matthew Lowery, Baylee LaMar, Kyndall Merryman, Max Merryman, and Chelsea Suarez.
A special thanks to Hospice of North Alabama, especially Helen and Lindsey; whose love, compassion, and care will never be forgotten.
