Mildred Tabereaux Armor, of Muscle Shoals, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at the age of 84. Her visitation will be Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Barrett Long officiating. Mrs. Armor will be buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia with friends and family serving as pallbearers.
Mildred was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tuscumbia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alton Sr. and Mary Ruth Tabereaux; and brothers, James R. Tabereaux and Tom L. Tabereaux.
She is survived by her loving husband, John Davis Armor, Jr.; daughters, Donna Armor and Joanne Armor Jeffreys; brother, Alton T. Tabereaux, Jr. (Pat); sisters, Marie Morrow and Mary Jo Wood (John); sister-in-law, Charlotte Tabereaux; grandchildren, Leticia Eddy, Jessica Jeffreys and Courtney Jeffreys; and great-grandchildren, Ethan Davis Eddy, Caden Gaige Wesson and Kinslie Grace Kirby.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Muscle Shoals Library at 1918 Avalon Avenue Muscle Shoals, AL 35661 or to the Building Believers in Christ Guatemala Missions at P.O. Box 188 Tuscumbia, AL 35674.
