James Thurston Porter, age 80, Haleyville, AL. passed away December 25, 2018. He was retired Truck Driver with Marshall Durbin, member and Deacon at Posey Mill Baptist Church.
His visitation will be Friday December 28, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, AL. Funeral at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel, with Bro. Steve Miles and Bro. Larry Dover officiating. Burial to follow in Orange Cemetery.
Thurston is survived by his wife Marie Porter; son, James Stephen Porter; granddaughters, Chastidy Danielle and Stephanie Nicole; great granddaughter, Elizabeth “Tootie”; sister, Myree Dover and a host of relatives and friends.
Thurston was preceded in death by his parents, William Talton Porter and Myrtle Jewel Porter.
