Dorothy Virginia Michael, age 87, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018. Visitation will be Saturday, December 22, 2018, from 10 a.m. until noon p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at noon p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Charlie James and Seth Hood officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
Dorothy was a native of Colbert County and a member of the Washington Park Baptist Church in Muscle Shoals. She was preceded in death by her husband, Odell Michael; father, Wiley Kilburn; and mother, Katie Landers.
She is survived by her sons, David Odell Michael (Shelia), Danny Joe Michael (Karen), and Darron Ray Michael (Wanda); sister, Jane Emch (Mike); eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Rex Michael, Marty Michael, Davy Michael, Chris Allen, Dean Henson, and Lawrence Michael.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the World Hunger Fund at First Baptist Church of Colbert Heights, 6000 Woodmont Drive, Tuscumbia, AL 35674.
