Merle Jean Prewitt was born September 6, 1947, in Hattiesburg, MS. She went to be with the Lord on December 7, 2018, in Independence Missouri.
She is preceded in death by Husband William Don Prewitt, Daughter Traci Prewitt, and by her parents Arthur I Cagle and Eugenia Cagle.
She is survived by her siblings Arthur Cagle and Becky Cagle. Her children Wendy Martin (David) and Daniel Prewitt (Sara). Her grandchildren Jena Abbott (Josh), Josh Prewitt, Jordan Prewitt, Cheyenne Bard (Ryan), Shannah Brewer, Ana Brewer, Charlotte Prewitt, and Bryant Prewitt. Her great-grandchildren Jaxon Bard and Collin Bard.
Jean’s service will be held at The Restoration Church in Haleyville, AL from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m on Saturday, December 22, 2018. A graveside service will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Double Springs, AL.
