Susan Pullen Gargis, 63, of Muscle Shoals, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018 after a courageous nine-year battle with cancer. Visitation will be today, December 11, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Eric Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery.
Susan was a native of Colbert County and was preceded in death by her husband, Alan; parents, William A. Pullen, Jr. and Gaye Pullen; brother, Steve Pullen; and sister, Marquita Pullen.
She is survived by her sons, Hart (Melanie) and Matthew Gargis; sisters, Leigh Ann Gargis (Jackie) and Frances Weatherford Brown (Sam); five grandchildren, Benton, William and Aubrey Gargis, and Makayla and Kelsey Keen.
Pallbearers include Lucas and Chase Weatherford, Jackie Eugene Gargis, Josh Blevins, Tim Hill and Van Brown.
The family expresses special thanks to Dr. Luciano Costa and staff, Morningside of Sheffield, Alacare Hospice, and her numerous caregivers for their dedication and care.
