Lynn Preston Hine, 66, a resident of Laplace, Louisiana, passed away at his residence on November 2, 2018. His visitation will be Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 10 a.m. to noon at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia.
He was a native of Sheffield, Alabama.
Lynn is survived by Amanda Millet, his companion of 19 years; her children, Whitney Triche, Justin Delaneuville and granddaughter, Emma Triche. He is also survived by his estranged wife, Alta Pickler; his children, Crystal Hine, Tracy Lafont (Lyle) and Thomas Sayforth (Hope); grandchildren, Jaden Williams, Cole Lafont, Sophia Lafont, Calen Sayfarth, Emily Sayfarth and Mandilyn Sayfarth and siblings, Lee Hine, Joseph Drueke (Bunny), Lydia Gipson (Donald), Emily Barnell (Jim) and Amy Bass (Craig) and other family members.
Preceding him in death were his parents, William Hine (1926-1956) and Geraldine Burleson (1927-1994) and Joseph Drueke, MD (1923-2010).
Chief Hine (CW04 BOSN) retired from the United States Coast Guard with honors after 30 ½ years of active duty. After his retirement he became an active member in the Vietnam Vets/Legacy Vets MC USA.
