George Whitney Love, of Sheffield, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at the age of 62. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, with Reverend Bill Bedsole officiating.
Mr. Love was a native of Sheffield and a retired Sheffield Firefighter with over 25 years of service. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Sheffield. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joel M. Love, Sr. and Elizabeth J. Love.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Janine Love; daughters, Tabitha Love Chaffee (Timothy), Kayla Love LaRocca (Michael); brothers, Joel M. Love, Jr., Jon C. Love; sisters, Cynthia Kirsch, Barbara “Babs” Love; grandson, Mitchell Chaffee; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
