Funeral service for Gordon Eddie Payne, 87, of Hartselle, will be Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 1:00PM at Peck Funeral Home with Mary Sue Sanford officiating. Burial will be at Friendship Cemetery at Upshaw. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 4, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
Mr. Payne died December 2, 2018 at River City Nursing Home. He was born April 29, 1931 in Addison, Alabama to Otis Lawrence Payne and Ida Lorine Walker Payne. He was born and raised in Winston County. Mr. Payne served in the United States Army, a self taught pilot who worked most of his career at Culligan Water. He loved his children and grandchildren unconditionally. Mr. Payne was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jack Payne; and three sisters, Sue Harrison, Lois Laney and Betty Jo Payne.

Whitney, Rachel, Kassi, Corey, Madison and Brayden

Pallbearers will be Corey Swann, James McDonald, Joe Curtis, Jonas Thomas, Jason Holmes and Roger Stephenson.
