Mrs. Thelma H. Dobbs, 82, Tuscumbia, passed away at her residence Thursday, November 15, 2018. A native of Marion County, Alabama, she had lived in Tuscumbia for the past eight years, having moved there from Charleston, South Carolina. A housewife, she was a member of Fulton Bridge Baptist Church, Hamilton.
Visitation with family and friends will be Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Fulton Bridge Baptist Church, Hamilton. Services will begin at 2 p.m. with Richard Parker and Mike Stansell officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining Fulton Bridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Dobbs is survived by her husband, Douglas W. Dobbs, Sr; children, Gloria Annette Dobbs Dean, Jennifer Joan Dobbs Sawyer and Douglas W. Dobbs, Jr.; sisters, Johnny Hightower Burks and Elizabeth Hightower Grissom; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Lee and Necie Elizabeth Dill Hightower.
Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, is directing.
