LTC (RET) Sidney Irwin Davis
May 30, 1935 – November 12, 2018
Sidney Irwin Davis, 83, of Huntsville, died Monday evening surrounded by his family. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and proudly served his country for 22 years in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.
LTC Davis is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 44 years, Barbara Penouilh Davis. He is survived by his sons, David Davis and wife, Amy, of Rockville, Maryland and Jason Davis and wife, Rebecca, of Huntsville; daughter Marguerite Davis Anderson and husband, Don, of Owens Cross Roads; and grandchildren, Renee Anderson, Nicholas Davis, Connor Haines, Brent Haines, Brooke Haines, and Paige Haines.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. The funeral service will follow at noon with Father Mike MacMahon officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Cemetery.
