Mr. Ralph Edward Lewis,90 of Florence passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012 at ECM Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Richards, Raff and Dunbar Funeral Home in Springfield Ohio with burial in Ferncliff Cemetery, Springfield.
Ralph is the last Lewis of his generation. He married B. Eileen Wilson-Lewis, October 14, 1940. They were married 70 years when Eileen 1924-2010 passed away. Ralph served as a Marine in WWII –Asiatic-Pacific Theater War 1941-1946. A partner in Lewis and Sons Reality and Development Company, he and his father Walter B. Lewis developed Leffels Lane area in Springfield, Ohio. In 1954, joined Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy, retired after 21 years of service, retired from Sandusky, Ohio Post. After retirement joined K-Mart and he and his wife moved to the Alabama Shoals Area.Mr. Lewis is preceded in death by his parents, Walter B. Lewis and Florence A. Britcher-Lewis., two brothers and one sister.He is survived by daughters, Judith L. Richard-Novak and son-in-law Charles Novak, Florence, Alabama, Janice F. Dean, Norwalk, Ohio, P. Eileen Lewis, Bullhead City, Arizona, son, Harold W. Lewis and daughter-in-law Patricia Lewis, Florence, Alabama and former daughter-in-law Donna E. Lewis, Florence Alabama, seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.No flowers please. In memory of Ralph E. Lewis.
