Gaynell Levens Coldiron – Obituary

The funeral service for Gaynell Levens Coldiron, age 82 of Lineville, will be held on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Rev. Billy Todd officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Anniston, AL.

Mrs. Coldiron passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the Lineville Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Wadley and was a former resident of Chicago, IL where she lived with her husband. She then resided in Calhoun County for a number of years, eventually settling in Clay County where she lived with her sister until 2010, when she went into the nursing home. Mrs. Coldiron was a homemaker and personal caregiver who enjoyed housekeeping and loved going to Wesley Chapel Christian Church where she was a member.

She is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Barbara Helen Levens Morrison and Junior Morrison of Delta; one sister-in-law, Nellie Shields Levens of Duke, AL, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Coldiron was preceded in death by her parents: Audrey Lee “Pop” Levens and Isadora Wilder Levens; her husband, Benjamin Welles Coldiron; four brothers: William Lomeral Levens, Billy Gay Levens, Kenneth Audrey Levens and Frankie Gene Levens and one sister-in-law, Lola Wilmus Clark Levens.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville.
