Billy Ray James, age 86 of Tuscumbia, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018. His visitation will be Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery.
Billy retired from Reynolds Metals and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. He loved his chickens and coon hunting. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Tammy Norris; 2 brothers; and 5 sisters.
He is survived by his sons, Steve James (Peggy) and Larry James (Sharon); 3 grandchildren, Brad James (Laura), Jill Green (Bryon) and Steven James (Renea); 6 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Steven James, Brad James, Jerry Owen, Ronnie James, Bryon Green and Harold Everitt.
