T 10/31/2018 Bea TroyerBeatrice Ann Pierce Troyer, age 82, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Florence Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was surrounded by her husband of 63 years, Kenton Troyer and her daughter. She was born on February 3, 1936, to the late Neil and Francis Pierce in Flint, Michigan.

Bea, as she was known to her friends, never met a stranger and always had a smile on her face. She made the perfect companion for her husband, who is a retired Baptist minister. Over the years, Bea touched the lives of so many people all over the world, as not only did she minister here at home but took several mission trips overseas. Bea was a graduate of Lakeview High School, Battle Creek, and worked on her undergraduate degree at Elkhart Business University.

Visitation will be at Woodmont Baptist Church in Florence from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday, November 2nd with the funeral service to follow immediately. The Reverend Chad Hess will officiate. She will be laid to rest in Mount Tabor Cemetery in Florence.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Troyer was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Pierce; and a granddaughter, Jessica Troyer.

She is survived by her husband, Kenton Troyer; three sons, Norman Troyer of Germany, Floyd Troyer of Homer Glen, Illinois, and Steve Troyer (Mary) of Minooka, Illinois; daughter, Christine Watkins (Phillip) of Florence; sister, Neilene Gregorski (Jerry) of Grand Rapids, Michigan; brother, Dan Pierce (Cyd) of Battle Creek, Michigan; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
