Linda Darlene Jones of Madison, Alabama passed away at her home after an extended illness on Thursday, October 18, 2018. Linda attended Wellston and Fort Zumwalt High Schools in Missouri. In 2006, she retired from a successful career as an senior administrative assistant at the University of Alabama – Huntsville where she was a cherished coworker. She is still remembered fondly as an excellent cook especially for her caramel pie and red velvet cake.
Linda was a devoted wife of 44 years to Tim Jones, and a beloved sister, aunt, and friend – continually opening her heart and home to many pets, friends, and family.
Since she worked at Auburn University as a newlywed, she always loved her Tigers– win, lose or draw.
Her faith carried her through the good and hard times of life including surviving bladder cancer. She found comfort and joy in attending services at First Baptist Church of Madison where she was a member.
A memorial service for Linda will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 17, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Madison.
