Mr. Glenn M. (Shorty) Carter, Sr., age 94, of Scottsboro passed away on Monday October 22, 2018. He was a World War II Veteran and served in the Navy.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Dr. Jody Gamble officiating. Interment will follow at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Carter is survived by his daughter, Kaye Gravley (Steve); son, Glenn Carter, Jr. (Keena); granddaughter, Ashton Day (Will); sister, Faye Wallingsford (Bob); and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Vincent Carter; parents, John Morgan Carter and Vera Duncan Carter; step mother, Pauline Carter; and sister, Juanita Baird.
