Reverend Clifford Velt Sutterfield, 84, was born on April 21, 1934 and went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 19, 2018 at his residence in the Palmetto Community. He was married to his bride of 60 years, Margaret Edith Foster Sutterfield. He had five children: Cheryl Nickell, Rene Pennington, Velta Lovil, Terence Sutterfield and Tina Holland. Clifford had 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was the pastor of Harvest Time Assembly of God for 23 years.
A service celebration his faith and his Victory over Death will be at 2 PM Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Rev. Stanley Sutterfield, his nephew, officiating. Military honors will follow the service saluting his service to his country in the U. S. Army. Burial will follow in Tupelo Memorial Park Gardens on Joyner St. Visitation will be from 5 PM-8 PM today and from Noon-service time on Tuesday, all at Holland-Tupelo Chapel which is honored to be serving their friends.
