Kathryn Sue Church, 85, of Huntsville passed peacefully away on Sunday, October 21st.
She was preceded in death by her Husband Brooks Church who worked for the city of Huntsville for 31 years, and her brother, Danny Fortner
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Lynne Fortner; daughters, Brenda Church (Jeanne Earwood) and Cami Reese (Fred) and son Rance Church (Ruth). She had one grandson Carter Church and 2 step grandsons, Justin Holland (Margaret) and Jason Holland (Xin Dogterom). She had many friends at Regency Retirement Village where she lived for the past 8 years.
Her father was in the U.S. Army so she lived in many different towns but was born in Fulton. KY. She attended 4 different High Schools at Battle Creek, Michigan, Milwaukee and Columbus, Ga and finished her senior year at Huntsville High School in 1951. After graduation she went to work at Redstone Arsenal for 10 years. She was an Avon representative for 25 years; she never met a stranger and always willing to strike up a conversation with anyone.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 27th from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. and a Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Stanley officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or Huntsville Human Society.
