RC Hester – Obituary

RC Hester, 88, of Russellville, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at his residence. A native of Franklin County, he was a Presbyterian and a member of the Belgreen Presbyterian Church. He was retired from Ford Motor Company with over 25 years of service. He particularly enjoyed quail hunting, was an avid Auburn fan and was a real coon hunter.

Visitation with family and friends will be today, October 19, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. A graveside service will follow at Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Russellville, beginning at 2 p.m. Officiating will be his daughter and son. Pallbearers will include Barrett Holland, Shannon Holland, Charles Lockmiller, Skylar Holland, Spencer Holland and Samuel Fisher.

Mr. Hester is survived by his children, Sherrie Diana Holland and husband, Jay V. Holland and Robert Mack Hester and wife, Carol Anne. Surviving siblings include Joyce Richardson and Peggy Bendall. His grandchildren are Barrett Van Holland and wife Alisha, Shannon Holland and wife Jaclyn and Diana Marie Lockmiller and husband Charlie; 10 great-grandchildren also survive him as do nieces, nephews, and friends.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Maxzene Kimbrough Hester; parents, Robert Clayton and Birdie James Hester; and siblings, Olene James, Bernice Richardson, James Hester, Hollis Hester and Delmar Ray Hester.

Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, is directing.
