Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Raymond Alonso age, 83 of Estill Springs. Mr. Alonso passed from this life on October 14, 2018 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. A native and life-long resident of Franklin County, Mr. Alonso owned and operated Commercial Tree Services Co. and worked as an arborist all his working life. He retired and sold his business in 2000. Mr. Alonso was a member of the Church of Christ at Owl Hollow. Preceding him in death is his mother and father; son, Chuckie Alonso; brothers, Carl, Skeeter and Freddie. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Marie Phipps Alonso; children, Sherry Alonso Limbaugh of Estill Springs, Darrell Alonso of Winchester, Angel Alonso Edwards of Ohio, Wendy (Troy) Hawkersmith of Winchester, Elizabeth (Steve) Majors also of Winchester, Jill (Marshall) Snell of Indiana and Charlotte (Fred) Vaughn of Winchester; 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday October 18, 2018 from 5-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be on Friday October 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Watson-North Memorial Park.
