Phyllis M. Woodis, age 60 of Athens, AL passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Woodis was born December 10, 1957 in Decatur, AL to Ray McCulloch and Freeda Blackburn McCulloch.
Services for Mrs. Woodis are Monday, October 1, 2018 at Wooley Springs Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. with Tony Boyles officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Allsboro Methodist Cemetery in Cherokee, AL.
She is survived by her husband David Woodis; children, Tim Spidel and wife Shelly, Rebekah Jeffreys and husband Shane, Todd Spidel and wife Katelyn and Trent Spidel and wife Rebecca; step-children, Zack Woodis and wife Lacey, Breanna Brandon and husband David and Luke Bowden; brother, Eddie McCulloch and wife Kathy; best friend, Emily Wilbanks; grandchildren, Bethany, Benjamin, Samuel, Colton, Addie, Harmony, Ella Ann, Theo, Myles and Macie Grace; nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Phyllis was a loving wife, mother and Nana. She was a lifetime homemaker and a servant of God. She was a precious friend to all she met and lived her life with the light of Jesus. She was an inspiration in faith and perseverance, she loved fully and was loved fully. She was a member of Wooley Springs Baptist Church.
