Funeral for James Ray “Poppy” Dotson, 69, of Moulton will be Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Parkway Funeral Home, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Wayne Dotson and Rev. Wesley Dotson officiating. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be two hours before the service at the funeral home. Mr. Dotson, who died Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at his residence was born April 30, 1949, to Coy Dotson and Irene Jackson Dotson. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working. His grandchildren were his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers – Tim Dotson and Henry Dotson, sister Opal Suddieth

2 sons – James Vann (Cassey) Dotson and Russell Eugene Dotson
5 brothers – Coy (Doris) Dotson, Tommy (Cynthia) Dotson, Ronald (Judy) Dotson, Titus (Brenda) Dotson and Chuck (Samantha) Dotson
4 sister – Doris Nolen, Ruth (Ray) Nolen, Lois (Harold) King and Jan Nash
4 Grand Children – Tyler Vann, Khloee Rushell, Zoee’ Riannon and Olivia Makayla
Honorary Grandchild – Henley Grace
Pallbearers will be Warren Watson, C. J. Dotson, Chris King, Greg Dotson, Ronnie Dotson, Tyler Dotson, Corey Cameron and Robert Dotson.
