Lynn ClemmerLena “Lynn” Clemmer, 81, died Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at the Hospice Unit of North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born in West Memphis, Arkansas, July 31, 1937, to Jim and Minnie House Hickman.  On November 3, 1955, she married Richard “Dick” Clemmer, Jr. They moved everywhere from England to Japan and all across the United States while Dick served in the Air Force before calling Tupelo home. After graduating from cosmetology school in Tupelo, she owned and operated Cut and Perm for number of years. Lynn enjoyed flower gardening and had a passion for art and serving her community. She especially loved to paint and held a membership with the Lee County Arts Council. She was a Cub Scout Leader while she lived in Oklahoma . She was a long-time active member of Belden Baptist Church where she attended the Adult Couples Sunday School class. She was also called to serve and spent several years active in both the Jailhouse Ministry and the Girls in Action Ministry.

 

Survivors include husband, Dick Clemmer, Jr. of Tupelo; one son, Danny Clemmer of Counce, Tennessee; and one granddaughter, Amanda Marie Clemmer of Hermitage, Tennessee.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Minnie Hickman; and brother, James Hickman.

 

Services honoring her life will be 1 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2018, at the Jefferson Street Chapel with Rev. Jim Holcomb officiating. Committal services will follow at the Lee Memorial Park.

 

Visitation will be from 11a.m. until service time Friday, September 21, 2018, at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
