L.T. Knight age 88 of Dora, passed away Saturday September 15, 2018 at his residence. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA. He was a member of Sipsey Masonic Lodge #783 F&AM
Funeral services will be Monday September 17, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. John Pinion will officiate. Burial will follow in New Horizon Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Monday from 1-2 pm at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gwinlon Knight; parents, Lester and Minnie Knight; brothers, Grady and Donald Knight; sister, Agnes Pate and daughter in law, Phyllis Knight.
Survivors include his children, Stephen Knight, Leslie Knight, Gaytha Fewell (Don) and Joye Knight (Danny Clayton, Jr.); nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; sisters, Linda Lollar and Martha Pledger; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff of Comfort Care Hospice, especially, Brittany, Shae and Dennis.
