FLORENCE – The University of North Alabama ROTC program is hosting several activities in remembrance of Sept. 11.

A memorial ceremony will take place in the UNA Amphitheater from 8:30 a.m. – 9 a.m., and will feature a chaplain from an area fire department to provide the Invocation. The featured keynote speaker is UNA graduate, current faculty and Army Veteran, retired Col. Rae Atencio.
In addition, UNA ROTC cadets will run continuously with the American flag through campus and downtown Florence, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., as a visual reminder of 9/11 and the global war on terrorism.
