James H. Linder, 79, from Trinity, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 14, 2018. He was born on April 11, 1939 in Cowpens, South Carolina. He was the son of the late P. W. Linder and Roselle Linder. Mr. Linder retired from Fluor Daniels. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 17, 2018, at Roselawn Funeral Home from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm with funeral services following the visitation. He was loved by his wife of 55 years, Barbara Linder, and his sons, David (Sharon) and Shawn; grandchildren, Callie (Brandon) Crosby, Isaac and Jessie Linder, and sister, Dolline Osteen. Mr. Linder is preceded in death by his brother, Jackie Linder, and sister, Brenda Murphy. Roselawn Funeral Home has the honor of assisting the family.

Lefty was a great friend almost all of my life. He would always come by my store in Gaffney when he came up from Alabama to visit in Cowpens. We would always talk Baseball of which he was very knowledgeable, especially hitting. He would have made a great coach or manager and he was a great player in his day.. He was also very knowledgeable about the folks who had lived in Cowpens over the years. I always learned something when he was here. I will surely miss him. I am running out of friends with whom I can share memories. My condolences to his family. Joe Cash
