Lydia Rose Chewning – Obituary

Lydia Rose Chewning, age 79, resident of Lewisburg, passed away Thursday, July 26 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Born May 20, 1939 in Jackson, MI, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Thelma Minor and the wife of the late Dwight Chewning. She was a homemaker who loved cooking, reading and going to yard sales with her late husband.

A private ceremony will be held at a later date at the Nashville National Military Cemetery. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with their services.

Mrs. Chewning is survived by her sons: Michael Chewning of Lewisburg and David Henry Chewning of Cornersville; grandchildren: Christopher Chewning, Jason Chewning, Brandon Chewning and Benjamin Chewning; great grand children: Ethan James Chewning and Roland Chewning.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made in her honor to the Alzheimer Association.
