FLORENCE-the Florence Police Department released a statement concerning the arrest of a suspect on several charges including 2 counts of Possession of a Forged Instrument:
“Ms CadiceTapscott was arrested on several warrants on 7/23/18 from an incident that occurred on 7/16/18.
On 7/18/2018 Florence Police was contacted and a report filed that a victim had two personal checks stolen. The victim contacted his bank and both checks were cashed at two separate bank locations. Both checks were made out to Ms Tapscott and cashed by her. Warrants were issued for her arrested. When officers located her, it was discovered she also had warrants for worthless checks that were issued from the Lauderdale County DA’s office. Ms Tapscott is in the Lauderdale County Detention Center.
