Dorothy Lucille Warden Ghrigsby – Obituary

Mrs. Dorothy Lucille Warden Ghrigsby  passed away Monday July 16, 2018 at home after a sudden illness. She was born February 26, 1937 in Memphis, TN, the daughter of the late R. Hershel and Lousie Warden. She was united in marriage to Alton Ghrigsby on july 1, 1960. They lived in Memphis until moving to Atoka, TN ion 2001. Mrs Ghrigsby loved sewing, especially making special items for family, completing jigsaw puzzles and Seek a Word, and was an avid bowler. shw was an active member of First Baptist Church, Millington, TN, volunteering in nursery and helping with special events. The greatest loves of her life were her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral Servicess will be held Friday July 20, 2018 at Loretto Memorial Chapel at 2:00 PM with Marcus Wilson and Bruce Raley officiating with burial to follow in Loretto Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Friday July 20, 2018 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Loretto Memorial Chapel.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Alton Ghrigsby of Atoka, TN, four children, Roger Ghrigsby and wife Jhonna of Henderson, TN, Phyllis Brown and husband Russ of Selmer , TN, Kay Rose and husband Randy of Munford, TN, Carson Ghrigsby and wife Lisa of Brighton, TN. Ten grandchildren; Jamie, Matt, Trey, Rachael, Hunter, Ethan, Makenzie, Carrington, Rebecca and Elizabeth;six great grandchildren, Russell, Phillip, Carter, Blakely, Hollyn and Wyatt. One sister, Jaunita Harrison of Chattanooga, TN; and a host of extended family anf friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs Ghrigsby was preceded in death by her siblings, Josephine, Robert, Elinor Joannah and Sonny.

Pallbearers will be- Hunter Brown, Ethan Rose, Trey Scogin, Rodney Nunnelley, Chris Nunnelley, Greg Caudle and Paul Grigsby.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren
