Beatrice Foust McGee, 84, of Florence passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018. Visitation will be Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The graveside service will follow at 11 a.m. at New Hope Church of Christ with Carl Sigenthaler officiating.
Beatrice was a native of Florence. She was a charter member of Central Heights Baptist Church, but was currently a member of Forest Hills Baptist Church, teaching Sunday school for over 60 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed McGee; parents, Floyd and Pearl Foust; sisters, Margie Perry and Gwen Landrum.
Beatrice was survived by her sons, Michael L. McGee (Dawn) of Asheville, North Carolina and Jeff McGee of Birmingham; daughter, Myra Peck (Steve) of Athens; sister, Maxine Skipworth; grandchildren, Gilda Poole (John), Kelly McGee, Heath Blasingame (April) and Mollie Peck; great-granddaughter, Luna Poole; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Heath Blasingame, Don Robinson, Harold McGee, Danny Skipworth, Sam Landrum and Mark Landrum.
The family expresses special thanks to her caregivers, Shelah, Seretta, and Donna.
