Robert H. Peden of Leighton passed away Monday, June 25, 2018 at the age of 87. His visitation will be Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Corey Cochran officiating. Burial will be in Shaw Cemetery in Leighton.
Robert was a native of Leighton and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. He was a member of Hatton Baptist Church and an avid gardener. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilma; second wife, Dianna; son, Donald Peden; parents, Robert and Margaret Peden; sisters, Elizabeth Osborn and Mary Oldham; and brother, Howard Peden.
Robert’s survivors include his daughters, Robbin G. Bratcher of Leighton, Glenda Cole of Leighton, Farrah L. Peden of Somerville and Regina K. Jones of Leighton; sister, Jane Bergin of Rogersville; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
