Michael Eugene Reid, 73, of Lacey’s Spring, passed away Monday. Mr. Reid served in the US Army from 1967 -1969. He served the community through Open Hand Inc, reaching the homeless, and he also volunteered as a team support member for Southeastern Search Dogs. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Aileen Reid.
Survivors include wife, Jo Ellen Reid; children, Jason Reid (Mary Katherine), Darren Reid, Todd Reid (Kylie), and Barbara Arnold (Matthew); grandchildren, Smith Reid, Collins Reid, Kate Arnold and Andrew Arnold; sister, Carol Williams (Vernon); nephew, Stan Williams; and aunt, Bebe Bice.
Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 28th, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with MCSO Chaplain John Burris officiating.
