Evelyn Sellers Strickland, 94, of Rayville, Louisiana, passed peacefully on June 9, 2018 at her home.
Graveside services Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Memory Hill Gardens with the Reverend Sherry Harris officiating.
MeeMaw was born January 30, 1924 to Walter Lee Sellers and Minnie Azalee Hosmer Sellers in Kellerman, Alabama. On November 9, 1946, she married James Strickland in Columbus, Mississippi. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sisters, Cora Beard, Ann Coker and Ellen Matthews and her brothers, Dick Sellers and Lawrence Sellers.
Mrs. Strickland is survived by her son, Jeffrey L. Strickland; his wife, Cathy and their children, Emily (Brian) Patterson, Joshua (Jan) Strickland and Sam Strickland; great-grandchildren, Aubree Patterson, Brayden Patterson, Jeffrey “Jey” Strickland and Evelyn “Evy” Strickland and 22 nieces and nephews.
