Betty Jean Pylant 77, of Athens,AL died Thursday, June 14, 2018.
Born Friday, June 21, 1940 in Ardmore, AL, she was the daughter of Author Monroe Pylant and Ninnie Ann Pylant.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Author Monroe Pylant, & Ninnie Ann Pylant. Husband, Donald Larry Pylant, Jr., three brothers , Charles Pylant, Jacky Pylant, Danny Pylant, & a sister, Virgina Gaines.
She is survived by her daughter, Wanda(Richard) Johnson, Athens, AL, son, Donald(Shelia Ann) Larry Pylant, Ardmore, AL, sister, Lynda Howard, Louisville, KY, Grandchildren, Donald(Mona) Larry Pylant, Athens, AL,Justin (Crissy) Lane Johnson, Athens, AL, two Great Grandchildren, Alexa Pylant, & Kelsey Shea Johnson.
Visitations will be held at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 P.M with a service to follow starting at 3:00P.M. with Bro. Wayne Kent officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
