Margaret Dyanne Batchelor, age 68, Haleyville, Alabama passed away May 13, 2018 at her residence. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a retired postal carrier and an active member of New Prospect Baptist Church working in the children’s ministry for 17 years, as director for 10 years as VBS director, as Winston County Baptist Association VBS director for 3 years. She loved spending time with her family.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at New Prospect Baptist Church in Haleyville, where the service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. . Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery. Dr. Ron Horton will officiate the service.
She is survived by her husband, Victor M. “Vic” Batchelor; Son, Micheal (Marci) Batchelor; daughters, Vicki (Josh) Taylor, Racheal (Travis) Whitaker, and Rebecca (Cody) Miller; brothers, Quention (Judy) Hogan, and Leo Hogan, Brother-in-law, David Underwood; eight grandchildren, Phillip (Bethany) Batchelor, Josh Batchelor, Jamie Hensley, Abby Batchelor, Jacob Batchelor, Skylar Whitaker, Whitney Whitaker, and Logan Miller; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William J. “Will” Hogan and Rennie Dodd-Hogan; Brother, Bill Hogan and Huey(Nancy) Hogan and Sister, Polly Underwood.
