Funeral service for Bobby Ray McCaghren, 85, will be Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Tom Salter and Reverend Renee Garlen officiating. Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. McCaghren died on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born March 1, 1933, in Morgan County to Elmer Cecil McCaghren and Audie Mae McDonald McCaghren. He was a member of Johnson Chapel United Methodist Church and was a maintenance mechanic for BP Chemical Company prior to his retirement. Mr. McCaghren loved his family and especially loved his grandchildren and great- grandchildren. His parents preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta McCaghren; one son, Ronnie McCaghren (Beth), Danville; two brothers, Billy McCaghren, Hartselle, and Jimmy McCaghren, Danville; one sister, Lottie Hensley, Danville; two grandchildren, Courtney Hollis (Jason) and Chase McCaghren (Ashley); two great-grandchildren, Avery and Addison.
Pallbearers will be Chase McCaghren, Jason Hollis, George McCaghren, Rex Hensley, Mack Maddox and Jerry Stevens.
