Kenneth Donald Kirby, 79, of Owens Cross Roads passed away Tuesday, May 1st.

Mr. Kirby was a local Business man for 37 years, member of Whitesburg Baptist Church, founder of Proclamation Gospel Quartet, member of Antique Car Club, Former board member of SWA, and former board member of Downtown Rescue Mission. He was also a Deacon of First Baptist church Decatur, Hillwood Baptist Church, and Whitesburg Baptist Church.

His hobbies included being a Piper Pilot, antique cars, and boating,

He is survived by his wife, Dawn Kirby; sons, Barry Kirby, Daren Kirby, Kenny (Katherine) Kirby; grandchildren, Josh Kirby, Jacob Kirby, Judd Kirby, and Reese Kirby; siblings, John Kirby, Randy Kirby, Orbin Kirby, Betty Hill, and Shirley Townsend.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Lois Kirby; and sister, Joanne Martin.

There will be A Celebration of Life at Whitesburg Baptist Church South Chapel, on Friday May 4th, from 12:00- 1:00 p.m. followed by a 1:00 p.m. service, officiated by Dr. Jimmy Jackson and Carey Green.

In Lieu of flowers please give to Whitesburg Baptist Mission and Gideons.
