Robert S. Downey, age 82, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Monday, April 23, 2018 at his residence. He was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN, owner of Downey and Jones Jewelers where he was a registered gemologist, and a member of New Prospect Church of Christ. Mr. Downey was also a member of the Lawrenceburg Golf and Country Club where he had five club championships, and a former member of the Lawrenceburg Rotary Club.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:45 PM Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Neal Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at Mimosa Cemetery at 3:00 PM Thursday, April 26, 2018, with Jeff Smith officiating. Family suggests memorials be made to New Prospect Church of Christ or the American Cancer Society.
