Charles Major McAfee – Obituary

Charles Major McAfee, 91, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Summerford Nursing Home.

Mr. McAfee was born in Ninnekah, Oklahoma, on August 1, 1926 to Charles Dewey and Minnie Alvis McAfee.

Survivors include daughter, Jeannine Hill, Decatur; granddaughter, Julie McAfee, Madison; grandsons, Jon McAfee, Decatur and Landon McAfee, Cullman; five great-grandsons; sisters, Dorothy Hancock, Cullman, Wynona Hyde, South Carolina and Lawanna Greer, Cullman and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased in death by his parents; wife, Bonnie Hancock McAfee; son, Charles Ray “Chuck” McAfee; granddaughter, Bethany Tannen McAfee; sister, Iva Lee Brown and brothers, Leldon McAfee and Donald McAfee.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from noon to 2 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home in Cullman. Graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Sardis Cemetery, Trimble with Dr. Edwin Hayes officiating. Please visit mossservicefh.com to leave condolences for the family.
