He was united in marriage to Glenda Sue Lowrance on November 24, 1962. Mrs. King preceded him in death on July 22, 2008, following 45 years of marriage.
Mr. King worked as a sawyer for several mills throughout his career, and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. One of Mr. King’s favorite activities, however, was eating the fish he or others caught, so much so that his friends nicknamed him “Kingfish.”
Mr. King departed this life on April 5, 2018 in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 78 Years, 4 Months, 22 Days. He is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Plunk and husband Mark and two sons, Terry King and wife Lisa and Kevin King and wife Yvonne, all of Bethel Springs, TN; two grandchildren, Cody King and wife Cathie and Erin King; two great-grandchildren, Levi Turner and Wyatt King; a sister, Margie King and a brother, Bobby King and wife Doris, all of St. Louis, MO; a half-brother, Jerry Saxton and wife Louise of Bethel Springs, TN; and many extended family and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. King was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Pinkley, and a brother, Wendell King.
