Leland Ronald “Country” Dover born March 29, 1948 to William Roy and Myree Porter Dover in Haleyville, Alabama, entered into rest April 1, 2018 at Russellville Hospital.

The visitation will be Tuesday April 3, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville. Funeral Wednesday April 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel, with Bro. Merrell Potter officiating. Burial in New Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his CMA brothers.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Lilburn and Lena Pearl Hardiman Dover, William Talton and Myrtle Oden Porter, and step grandmother, Mattie Buchannan Dover.

He is survived by his loving parents William Roy and Myree Porter Dover; brothers, Larry Dover (Janice), Darrel Dover (Cheryl); sisters, Gwendolyn Dover Molloy (Bill) and Janelle Dover Clement; nephews Kevin Dover (LaCrissa), Jason Clement (Joy), and Scott Dover (Sunjay); nieces Kelly Dover Askew (Mike) and Selina Dover Ferguson (Brian); six great nephews, 3 great nieces and 2 great-great nieces.

He was a lifetime member of New Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. A veteran of the United States Army having served in the Signal Corp. in the Vietnam War. He was retired from Fontaine and an active member of the Christian Motorcycle Association.
