Funeral service for James Monroe Moore, 82, will be Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Wade Stover officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Moss Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be today, March 23, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Moore died on Wednesday, March 21, 2018. He was born Feb. 25, 1936, to Donald Moore and Laura Mae Riddle Moore. He was employed by the Morgan County Courthouse for maintenance prior to his retirement and he was a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Moore; son, James Moore Jr.; daughter, Laura Denise Maddox (Robert); two grandchildren, Heather Cotingham, (Jody), Ashley Williams, (Billy); four great- Grandchildren, Nevaeh Williams, Dalton Williams, Chloe Cottingham, and Dawson Cottingham; nephews, Adam Garrison (Misty), James Earl Garrison, Dewayne Moore (Bille), and Randy Moore (Jennifer); and niece, Rita Garrison.
