Shannon Maples, 42, died March 18, 2018. Visitation will be today from 8 a.m. until service time. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. in the chapel with burial in Shields Cemetery. She was the daughter of Bobby Maples and Phyllis Thompson.

Death is such an enemy, but in the Beginning, we were never meant to die. Our Heavenly Father promises that He will bring our loved ones back to life, healthy and happy on the restored Earth in paradise conditions. No more war, violence, wickedness, sickness, hunger, poverty, old age or death, ever again. Righteous humankind will be able to live in peace and happiness forever like He originally purposed.
