Robert F. Shipman, Jr., 82 of Huntsville, passed away Saturday morning at his residence. Mr. Shipman was born in Richmond, Virginia to Robert F. Shipman, Sr. and Rosalie McCall Shipman Tate.
Mr. Shipman was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was retired from Teledyne-Brown where he worked as an engineer and software developer.
He was predeceased by his parents.
Mr. Shipman is survived by Alice S. Shipman his devoted wife of 59 ½ years, son George Robert Shipman, daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth & James Alm, sisters Zora Robbins of Mt. Holly, North Carolina, Charlene Shipman of Charlotte, North Carolina, 2 nieces and many wonderful friends.
