Doug Dendy was born in Woodland, Mississippi on September 12, 1932, the son of the late William Sidney and Pearl Springer Dendy. On December 21, 1952, he was united in marriage to Mary Coburn Henley, who preceded him in death on November 8, 2016. Mr. Dendy departed this life on March 3, 2018, at the age of 85 years, 5 months, and 19 days.
Mr. Dendy is survived by his daughters, Deborah Clifton of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and Peggy Dendy of Counce, Tennessee; sister, Sidnette Carlisle of Corinth, Mississippi; grandchildren, Tiffany Clifton Orthwein and husband Robert of Houston, Texas and Delta Clifton of Plano, Texas; and a great grandchild due in July 2018.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Dendy was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Joe Clifton; sister, Elizabeth Patch; and a brother, Durwood Dendy.
