Hugh James “Buddy” “BW” Woods, age 75, of Oakman, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Choctaw General Hospital.
He was an avid Alabama fan, worked in the coal industry for 52 years as a loader operator.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, with funeral services following at 7:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel, Robbie Faulkner will officiate. Burial will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Berry.
Mr. Woods was preceded in death by his Father-Edward Woods; Mother-Virginia Poe; Great Granddaughter-Abigail Adams.
He is survived by his Daughter-Leslie Alexander (Johnny); Granddaughter-Bailey Adams; Special Grandsons-Chad Brueggemann and Alex Gilbreath; Great Grandchildren-Zayne McClinton and Layneston Adams.
Pallbearers will be Chad Brueggemann, Alex Gilbreath, Dean Kimbrell, Timothy Kimbrell, Chuck Little, Billy Taylor.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Great Grandsons-Zayne McClinton and Layneston Adams, Johnny Alexander, Lifelong Friend-Brother Roy Tubbs, Billy Feltman, all his coal mining friends.
