Mrs. Betty Hyde McCollister, 87, passed away Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, at her residence in Russellville, Alabama. A member of Littleville Church of Christ, she was a native of Colbert County, Alabama, and had resided in the Littleville community many years where she was a homemaker.
Visitation with family and friends will be Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018, from noon until 2 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Services will begin at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with David Conley of Liberty Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Colbert Memorial Gardens, Tuscumbia. Serving as pallbearers will be David McCollister, Eric Osborne, Justin Osborne, Seth Yancey, Justin Thomas, and Jerry McCollister.
Surviving Mrs. McCollister are her children, Tom McCollister and wife, Nina, and Teri McCollister Osborne and husband, Steve. Five grandchildren also survive her David McCollister and wife, Lorinda, Leslie McCollister Yancey and husban, Seth, Eric Osborne and wife, Becky, Justin Osborne and wife, Brandi, and Leslie Osborne Thomas and husband, Justin. Great-grandchildren include Kayla, Olivia, Blake and Parker Osborne, Grayson and Sutton Thomas, Delta Grace Adams, and Aubree Yancey.
Mrs. McCollister was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Leroy McCollister in 2010, and by her parents, Frank Leslie Hyde and Bessie Grisham Hyde.
Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellvile, is directing.
