Linda Faye Johnson Brock, 79, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born January 3, 1939, in Arlington, Texas, to the late Curtis and Johnnie Lou Williams Johnson. On April 17, 1954, she married her husband Charlie Ray Brock. Together, they raised two children. She was a loving wife, mother, aunt, sister, and grandmother. Among her jobs, babysitting was what she was best known for. She became MaMaw Linda to all of the kids she kept. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, and traveling. She especially loved traveling to the mountains with her sister-in-law, Martha Brock. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She cherished the time spend with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was a member of Eggville Church of Christ and loved her church family.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, February 23, at the Eggville Church of Christ with Bro. Leon Willis officiating. Burial will be in the Eggville Cemetery. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Mantachie is in charge of arrangements.
She leaves behind her husband of 64 years, Charlie Ray Brock; one daughter, Teresa Hutcherson of Mooreville; one son, Tim Brock (Sherry) of Eggville; one sister, Betty Barber of Tupelo; six grandchildren, Trent Hutcherson (Tami), Shane Hutcherson, Dylan Hutcherson (Erica), Kayla Furr (Thomas), Christy Morris (Richard), and Curtis Brock (Laken); and ten great-grandchildren John Marlin Morgan, Peyton Furr, Ella Claire Furr, Easton Brock, Emma Cate Smith, Mallie Morris, Marley Hutcherson, Kylee Hutcherson, McKenna Hutcherson, and Ridge Hutcherson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Hoyt Johnson and Lowell Johnson; one sister, Sarah Johnson; two infant great-grandchildren, Charlie Morgan and Taylor Furr; and one son-in-law, Dennis Hutcherson.
Pallbearers will be Trent Hutcherson, Shane Hutcherson, Dylan Hutcherson, Curtis Brock, Thomas Furr, and Richard Morris.
Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Barber, Benny Barber, Gary Byrd, Terry Miller, Brad Bishop, and Ben Hardin.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Friday at Eggville Church of Christ.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS.
